The “Time Trial” resumed in 2022 after a three year break. And with a new location, Roosthole/St Leonard’s Forest. This is a club run where we hope that club members can improve their 5k time.
The event is held on four dates at 7 pm. Please get there in good time because the starting point is a 10-15 minute walk/jog up the path from the car park. Please car share or cycle or run there if possible.
The Improve Your Time Run, is a set of 5 km runs where runners compete to improve their time over four runs on the same course. The winner will be the runner with the largest improvement in time over the four runs.
The emphasis is very much about the runner who is most able to improve their time over the summer – not just the fastest runner.
To get an improvement score you will need to run at least three of the four dates.
Your aim is to improve your time over the four events. So if you miss one run, all is not lost! No cheating though; “Sandbaggers” will be spotted when compared against your average Parkrun or 10k time!
It’s a great club event, whatever your ability. A prize is awarded to the person with the biggest improvement at the “lavish” HJ awards night later in the year.
The dates for 2026 are as follows.
- Tuesday 12th of May
- Tuesday 9th of June
- Tuesday 14th of July
